Our Curious Curriculum will be led by the children and their interests. We will continue to use White Rose as our main Maths scheme. Reading will be taught through Whole Class Reading along with individual reading time with an adult. The Powerful Words Project (P.W.P.) will continue in Key Stage One taught within Whole Class Reading sessions three times a week. Science will be taught as discreet lessons, through topic or English. PSHE will be taught weekly.
If parents have any questions to ask or information to pass on to their child's class teacher, please email the school office in the first instance.
Thank you.

Key information for Year 1/2
Our Year 1/2 Teachers:
Miss Tod in Larch
Mrs RussellCook in Beech
Mrs Gallois in Chestnut
PE and Forest School
Our PE day is Monday.
Children will come to school in their kits on these days. When the days are cold, it would be useful if your child could also wear a jumper as well as the usual t-shirt, and tracksuit bottoms rather than shorts plus trainers. Children should ensure that long hair is tied back, no jewellery or watches are worn and earrings are removed for all PE and Games sessions. If children need to remove earrings during the day, then they should be able to do this themselves and have a suitable container to store them in.
Forest School will be on rota as part of the Monday afternoon session. Each class will have a set number of weeks. Teachers will notify parents on these dates in the weekly newsletter. Children should come to school in clothes that will not be ruined if they get muddy or wet. Children will need to bring a change of shoes/wellington boots in a named plastic bag. As the weather becomes colder, children should bring layers and a waterproof coat.
We are always happy to answers any queries that you may have but we would request that you email the office who will pass the message on.
