All children in our school have regular RE lessons based on the Cambridgeshire Syllabus, looking at a range of faiths. Due to our Christian heritage, we also follow enhanced modules aimed to increase children's understanding of Christianity.
The new agreed syllabus was launched in May 2018.
There are two terms of learning about Christianity each year, followed by one other religion. We are using 'Understanding Christianity' as our resource materials for all Christianity units, in line with schools across the county. A brief overview can be found below. Upper KS2 – What would Jesus do? Was Jesus the Messiah? What did Jesus do to save human beings? What does it mean if God is holy and loving? Creation and Science. What kind of king is Jesus? How can following God bring freedom and justice? What difference does the resurrection make to Christians? Buddhism, Humanism.
