Music is an important part of everyday life here at Rackham. Music is at the heart of our assemblies each morning, as children and staff come together to worship and celebrate. Music also has a vital role within our creative curriculum. As the children move through the school, they learn many important skills through composing, analysing, listening, responding and performing.
We also offer many opportunities for the children to take part in extra-curricular activities. For example, school choir and musical tuition. Music tuition is available for violin, guitar, percussion and woodwind. Children in year 3 are offered a fantastic opportunity to learn a string instrument throuighout the year with our expert music teacher who works for Cambridgeshire music.
Each year, events such as our Christmas and Easter services, Christmas Nativities,
Summer Productions and music concertos provide great opportunities to meet together with parents and friends from the local community and showcase our musical talents.
