April 2024 Childminders in 2023 mentioned how their input could be considered when pupils are due to start in Reception class. Drop in session for EYFS Providers to include childminders as invited guests as part of the transition process into Reception classes.
March 2024 When a teacher is known to be absent for a week or longer, parents and carers to be advised, also pupils in the class. Course of action agreed.
February 2024 Information evening for Parents and Carers about online safety and how to set up phones. Online meeting and information evening for Parents and Carers of any child in our school led by expert from Cambridge University.
September 2023 More clubs for Key Stage One children. We are monitoring clubs to ensure closer parity between the number of clubs offered to Key Stage One compared to Key Stage Two.
September 2023 Parents were asked their opinion on whether or not children should continue to come to school in PE or Games kit.

The result of the parent and carer survey was an overwhelming yes to:

'Children continue to arrive at school in kit that they wear for the whole day. Children to bring a change of footwear for Outdoor Games’, at 92.3% of parents who responded identified this as their preference..

July 2023 Weekly Headteacher newsletter as an attachment would be better sent in the body of the email. Format of newsletter adjusted to be in body of email.

Young children (not babes in arms) discouraged from attending school performances.

 

One performance will be identified for parents and carers where young children are welcome to attend from September 2023..

April 2023

 

When considering new classes for September, to seek the thoughts of pupils in addition to teachers.

 

All children were asked to identify three friends who they would like to be in class with in their next class. Class mixes included checking each child was with at least one of the named children on each pupil's list.

March 2023

 

Reduced opportunities for football club attendance within school time.

 

Lunchtime football club set up and round robin competition for 5 a side teams of children to take part.

January 2023

Collection of children at the end of the school day is very busy in the playground at 3.15pm.

After trialling three different exit patterns, parent view was sought to identify the preferred system.

The outcome:

Year 5/6 to depart via the lower car park red gate.

Year 3/4 depart via the hall doors.

Year 1/2 depart from classroom doors.

Reception depart from the arch door.
